On Sunday, Chase Daniel showed why that he is often paid huge amounts of money for being a backup. He scored 27-37 and 220 yards . He also scored two touchdowns. This game proved that Matt Nagy is a legit coach. Not that he wasn’t beforehand but the Bears offense was able to perform well under the circumstances. They didn’t really have an offensive game, but they were able to keep their players open throughout the day.
Nagy made a few subtle adjustments in the game , which I feel were significant and often overlooked. In the first half the team tried a few deeper passes, but Chase was a little off. That’s not surprising considering he’s barely worked with these wide receivers with full force. In the second half, they disappear. Shorter throws and easier completions. Great adjustments.
