It is not known what place EA will be with this product, but expect them to implement changes after release based on who complains most loudly. In all the areas which Madden has tried to improve in the past few times.
The only area which has been stagnant has been the trenches. Madden 25 seems to have made no effort to make line play more exciting this year. It’s possible that they’ve added more specific positions in order to help make the process of rearranging your depth chart more exciting however, what’s left is the constant spouting of powerful moves or fine moves until you can make a roll on the dice and achieve the desired block-shed animation, so that your opponent can move in the backfield and interfere with the game.
If Madden ever reaches the level of realisticity and realism, it will eventually have to revamp the mechanic in order in replacing it by something else that will account for the more intricate details of playing these vital roles. It’s quite ugly when scrums are played and I believe from a well-known EA motto that, if it’s part of the game, then it must be playing. Similar to how buy Madden 25 coins attempted to please the majority of its players with three different types of gameplay (arcade, simulation, and competitive) which could be played in accordance with your preferences, Madden 25 looks as like it’s continuing this trend, attempting to accommodate everyone in different styles.
