The issue is that there were instances when he appeared impressive in rushing the passer. He did appear to have a solid power rush and, when he chose to utilize it, he was extremely successful in getting pressure on the quarterback. Of course, I Mut 24 coins wouldn’t think an edge rusher of lesser size to have one as their main move, but, if it works so well, why not continue doing it? !
Harold was also a pretty impressive arm-over, however, again he just wouldn’t use it often. In the instances he did use it, he was able to at minimum beat the offensive tackle even when he was unable to reach the quarterback before he threw the ball. I’m really not sure why he didn’t try to make use of it more often considering how much performance was a success thanks to that move.
In the majority of cases, Harold would just kind of get into the left tackle and get stuck on his block in passing plays. He could’ve run an 4.9 when I’m concerned, considering how often his wins were based on the speed rush. What’s the purpose of being a very good athlete in the first place if you don’t make use of your skills to rush the passer every once in awhile?
That was frustrating as hell to watch.
I’m not happy that I’ve seen Harold use good moves in certain instances, and then I started to wonder what he was doing that he wasn’t using frequently. If he’d had them, he could have had a bunch more sacks. However, he didn’t. This is why it is possible that the fact that he “only” had like 7.5 total sacks in the season. This isn’t a terrible one, but it doesn’t make for a perfect one.
Perhaps it would have helped If he hadn’t missed so many tackles, not to mention several sacks. The Louisville game, which was one game in which he had two sacks, the player was unable to make three tackles. One of them could have been a sack. In addition, the dude ought to be a great player, but when he comes scot-free he doesn’t succeed in making the play?
This is worrying.
I haven’t even gotten around to discussing Harold’s not so great play on the field. I’m willing to admit that every once in awhile he came off the ball with ease and then kicked the blocker and was able to make the play. In the majority of cases, but he would either get struck in the back or was manhandled.
Nothing to like.
Harold also gave the advantage of running backs on running plays wayyyyy too many times in the five games, which will not work anymore. I’m sure he’s uninvolved in his petty but his blocking will be more effective at his next step. He is going to have to find a way solve that issue quick. A bit more weight, some squats , and better technique would be my suggestion, but for the moment, I am imagining Harold trying to get Mut 24 coins the goal to Madden NFL 24 level offensive tackles and tight end is not an appealing sight.
To be fair, there was a time that Harold did some amazing plays when he was running.
